Editorial policy

Brilliant Directory aims to make its explanations clear, considered and useful. We distinguish general ideas from personal preference, check claims before publication and welcome specific corrections from readers.

Accuracy and clarity

We work to present information in plain language and to check factual statements against appropriate material before publication. Articles should make their scope clear and avoid implying that a suggestion suits every reader. If a detail is uncertain or varies by context, the wording should reflect that uncertainty rather than smooth it over.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are made for the publication, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. A partner cannot buy a favourable editorial judgement or require us to recommend a product. Any collaboration must fit the subject and be clearly identified to readers.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us through the Contact page and explain what needs attention. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. The wording should make a meaningful correction visible, not leave a misleading claim in place.

Commercial material and illustrations

Paid, partner or otherwise commercially arranged material is labelled so readers can recognise its nature. Those labels are kept distinct from independent editorial content. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, that is disclosed alongside the image or its accompanying information.

Our point of view

Keep good things moving.

A useful collection need not be large or expensive. We look at the decisions that help objects and ideas stay findable, useful and ready to share.
